Gardenseal Ranch 

Working with two very close friends and architects, Fritz Haeg and Jeremy Schipper of Salmon Creek Studio, we completed the renovation of the cabin over the course of one year. All the wood from the home was milled from my sister's property, we used sheep's wool insulation, repurposed tiles from Heath Ceramics headed for the landfill, and scavenged all of the windows and foors from  architectural salvages across California. The house is also plumbed for greywater irrigation and has 20,000 gallons of rainwater storage. In keeping with my belief that human health is completely tied to the health of our environment, we tried our best to build a home that has a minimal carbon footprint.
